Originally released as The Settlers of Catan, now known as just Catan, Klaus Teuber's board game of resource collection and expansion has become a modern classic - and sold a heck of a lot of copies along the way. Players collect resources and spend them to build towns and roads, earning points for their expansion during the game. Resources can be traded between players (wood for sheep, anyone?) and bonuses are awarded for the longest road and biggest army, decided by whoever has the most knight cards.
