Aliens: Another Glorious Day in the Corps is finally released, after years of delay

It’s coming outta the goddamn walls!

More than two years after it was first announced, Aliens: Another Glorious Day in the Corps - the board game based on the film franchise - has finally seen a release.

Originally revealed in early 2018, Aliens: Another Glorious Day in the Corps was initially set to be released in September of that year. However, Gale Force Nine - the publisher behind the movie board game - announced that it would be delaying its release to sometime in 2019. Soon after, the studio further delayed the game’s launch to 2020, eventually giving the title a new release date of October.

Since its litany of delays, Aliens: AGDC has finally hit store shelves two months after it was due to launch this year. With little fanfare, Gale Force released the co-op game during the week of November 31st, alongside two expansions - Aliens: Ultimate Badasses and Get Away from Her, You B****!

Another Glorious Day in the Corps sees one to six players attempting to survive a trip on the terraforming facility of Hadley’s Hope, whilst waves of deadly xenomorphs swarm from their underground nest. Based on the 1986 film directed by James Cameron and starring Sigourney Weaver, Aliens: AGDC challenges players to experience up to six different missions across Hadley’s Hope, including a campaign containing four connected missions.

Players can choose between a selection of different characters featured in the film - including protagonist Ellen Ripley, as well as several of the Colonial Marines such as Vaquez and Hicks - each with their own set of unique abilities. As players explore the different locations of the station, they will have to confront the many xenomorphs lurking inside its shadowy corners, using whatever weapons and gear they find along the way to fight back.

The two expansions for the horror game introduce a new set of characters to the title, alongside additional missions and even the option to play as the xenomorphs themselves.

Aliens: Another Glorious Day in the Corps is available now at a retail price of $60 (£45), with Ultimate Badasses priced at $30 (£22) and Get Away from Her, Your B****! costing $60 (£45).
