Meet the Dicebreaker team and hang out at our Pax Unplugged 2019 community mixer
Icebreaker.
Have you ever wanted to meet the Dicebreaker team? Aw, shucks, that’s so lovely of you to say. Well, good news, you lovely person you: you can say hi to the Dicebreaker crew and other members of the tabletop community in person this weekend at PAX Unplugged 2019.
To celebrate the launch of our new website (that’s the one you’re on right now!) and simply because our community is pretty awesome through and through, we’re hosting a Dicebreaker community mixer in McGillen’s Olde Ale House, a pretty cool place not that far from the Philadelphia Convention Center where PAX Unplugged is taking place this Friday to Sunday, December 6th to 8th.
Johnny, Wheels, Matt, Lolies and other members of the Dicebreaker team will be in McGillen’s from 6pm on Saturday December 7th, hanging out, having a couple of drinks and chatting - and maybe even playing a game or two with anyone who stops by.
The venue can be found at 1310 Drury St, Philadelphia, and is less than a 10-minute walk away from the main PAX Unplugged show.
Here’s a bit of fun trivia from the McGillen’s website: the pub opened its doors in 1860, the same year that Abraham Lincoln was elected president of the United States. That makes it the oldest drinking hole in Philly, and one of the longest-running in the whole of the USA. Although, to be honest, we picked it mainly because it was close-by and had good D&D fantasy RPG tavern vibes.
Come on by, grab a drink and let’s chat!
If you’re at PAX Unplugged for the weekend, don’t forget to check out the rest of Dicebreaker’s plans for the show, including an on-stage interview with the designers of Pax Pamir and John Company on Friday, a live crossover game with Shut Up & Sit Down on Sunday morning and a community play session to close out the convention on Sunday afternoon.
(Full disclosure: PAX Unplugged is an event run by ReedPOP, which owns Dicebreaker parent Gamer Network.)
